What is Microblading?

Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique used to create beautifully natural-looking eyebrows. Using a manual tool with ultra-fine blades, tiny hair-like cuts are made in the skin and filled with pigment (ink).

These 3D hairstrokes are so realistic, they’re almost impossible to tell apart from your natural brow hairs. The shape is designed based on your bone structure, so you get the perfect brow shape to complement your face.

The Treatment

During a microblading treatment, I use a manual tool containing 12 ultra-fine, sterile blades. These blades are dipped into pigment and used to create hair-like strokes in the upper layer of the skin (the dermis). These strokes are so precise, they’re nearly impossible to tell apart from your natural brow hairs.

Because the pigment is placed in the dermis, it will gradually fade over time which means the results are not permanent.

The color is usually matched to your natural brow color, so the difference between your real brows and the 3D strokes is minimal. Prefer them a bit darker? That’s absolutely possible everything is customized to your preference.

Since each stroke is drone by hand, this treatment requires great precision and takes some time to complete.

It’s normal for the color to fade slightly in the days after your treatment, don’t worry, that’s part of the healing process. That’s why we always schedule a touch-up appointment 6 to 8 weeks later. During this session, we perfect the shape and color so that your brows stay beautiful for up to a year with no effort at all.

Your Appointment

Are you ready for your dream brows? Once your appointment is booked, we’re all set to begin. The treatment takes about 1 to 2 hours from start to finish, and during that time, my full focus is on you. The door is locked, the phone goes on silent it’s just you and me.

Worried about pain? Don’t be it’s really not as bad as you might think. Most of my clients compare it to tweezing, totally manageable, right? We’ll only begin once I’ve mapped and drawn the shape, and you’ve fully approved it.

When we’re done and you’re loving your new brows, I’ll go over the aftercare instructions with you and give everything to you in writing because let’s be honest, no one remembers it all!

We’ll also schedule your touch-up appointment right away.

Since small abrasions are made in the skin during the treatment, I’ll give you a few aftercare products to take home both for your initial treatment and for the touch-up. That way, your healing process is smooth and your brows stay beautiful.
